~ Key West Wedding Day ~

~ Key West Wedding Day ~
It was the worst possible weekend for a wedding. The weather was terrible as Tropical Storm Debbie was churning just off-shore in the Gulf of Mexico. It was overcast and dreary but that did not dampen the spirits of this happy family and their friends as the happy couple got ‘hitched’ and ‘tied the knot’ no matter what the weather was outside.

Duval Street is always busy and the onlookers seemed happy for them. They had a small window here for the after ceremony pictures out in the front courtyard. It seemed to be heaven sent as it began to rain again shortly thereafter. It seemed like He was looking out for them, and the wedding photographer.

I clicked this image from my car as we headed out of town and back to the middle keys as we decided to go back early for we knew there would not be a visible sunset. This image is a slice of Americana in Key West, the Conch Republic. The photographer is directing out in front. Even she had a smile on her face for the couple and their new beginning. A happy moment in time. For them, an unforgettable day.

(notes: No dis-respect to the happy family. Just having a little fun. Congrats Bride & Groom)
